Consilio is committed to defining success in human terms. We are a strategy, leadership, and culture consultancy that was founded in 2008. We are a diverse team with over 40 years of collective experience in financial institutions, non-profits, healthcare, startups, family legacy, construction and development, education and professional services.

 

After 8 years of working for Consilio, it became necessary to shift and strategize for the future. Susan Kuehl and Lori Martin co-founded Consilio Consultants, launching a new training and development model.  We believe business begins and ends with people. When teams can communicate with authenticity and trust, high performance is a byproduct. We believe that in order to perform your best, you need to feel your best, and we focus on the mental, physical, and emotional health of the individual with targeted training and sustainable products. 

We are based in Boise, Idaho, and we advise organizations throughout the United States and train Strengths-based curriculum internationally. We believe that culture strategy is a global challenge. We believe that strong communities are built by strong businesses. Our job is to give the people who power organizations the tools they need to elevate their workplaces from ordinary to extraordinary.

A force for good.

We make an impact by building better cultures where people love their work. Building a better culture can be simple, but it’s rarely easy. And things that aren’t easy are better done in a tribe. We have all seen a variety of dysfunction in workplaces. We have all seen the damage a bad workplace does to a person’s soul and the tracks it leaves on their life. Those heartbreaking experiences drove us to find a better way. We knew it was possible to build a place where people loved their work, where the culture empowered them and demanded they take responsibility for their own engagement, no matter the cost. We knew it because we did it.

Our Culture

We believe in putting people first. Here’s how we do it. Everything we build at Consilio is built on choice. We give our employees the freedom to craft a work environment that works for them.

 
  • When: Each person decides their own calendar. While yes, we have core hours somewhat resembling business hours, we also allow people to bend their time to fit their lifestyle.

  • Where: We offer a brick & mortar office for collaborative, in-person work. And, we heavily support each employee’s mobile and home office needs. Location is part of everyone’s process, theirs to choose, theirs to own.

  • How: As a StrengthsFinder company, we ensure that each team member knows their top strengths with an insane amount of depth so that they can craft their job and work day to go for as many flow moments as possible in a day.

  • What: We build and deliver a wide variety of services which gives each person a choice in how they approach each day. Variety is the key to what, we’ve found, no matter the situation, no matter the personality. It allows each person to choose a way to work that offers them more energy, not less. And, most importantly, they are bored less often.
